Bridal work has always been at the heart of my career. I create timeless, flawless makeup that lasts all day, feels comfortable, and photographs beautifully. Each year I work on 50+ weddings, so I truly understand how to make a wedding morning run smoothly — from touch-ups to easing nerves.
In 2023, I qualified in semi-permanent makeup brows (Microblading, ombré and combination) and since then I’ve expanded into eyeliner, lip blush and nano hairstroke brows. To keep my skills at the highest level, I’ve trained with some of the best in the industry, including GG Brows and at the Killer Beauty industry event. All SPMU treatments are available at the beautiful Hilton salon, and you can book directly through my Timely page.
Alongside bridal and permanent makeup, I also offer lash lifts, brow lamination, waxing and occasion makeup at Hilton salon. These are perfect finishing touches for both brides-to-be and everyday clients.
Hello! I’m Jess, a professional makeup artist based in Derbyshire with over 8 years of experience and a First-Class Honours Degree in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup. I specialise in bridal makeup and semi-permanent makeup tattooing and I’m passionate about helping my clients feel their most confident/beautiful; being part of one the happiest days of their lives.
I started studying Media Makeup and Hair at Derby College at 16 before completing my First-Class Honours Degree in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup in 2021. From early salon experience to working on styled shoots and masterclasses, I’ve built a strong technical foundation while continuing to invest in my artistry. Above all, I love my job and the people I get to meet through it. Whether it’s a wedding morning, a first-time treatment, or a regular beauty appointment, my aim is always the same: to help you feel valued, cared for, and beautiful.
Jess did my makeup for my wedding and did myself and 7 other members of the wedding party. She was so friendly from first enquiries and at our makeup trial she accommodated not only myself but my mum and two of my bridesmaids. We were all so happy with the result from the trial and we were right to trust Jess on my special day as she did a brilliant job! The makeup withheld tears and lots of dancing with minimal touch ups (lipstick being the only touch up we had). Jess was friendly and put me at ease when I was nervous and I honestly couldn't recommend her enough she's talented but she's also so friendly and lovely it was like talking to a friend! I came to Jess to be a model for content purposes and she was amazing!! So thorough with every step and asked my opinion on all products used, even though i said I wasn’t fussy and she could do whatever! I went to see Jess for a consultation for eyebrows having previously been to another salon and my eyebrows had faded to a grey/blue tinge. Jess has done an amazing job of warming the colour up, and has shaped them to a style that is perfect for me. The procedure was not at all painful, even without numbing cream, previous experiences elsewhere have been really quite painful.
